Sup yall!
Today is the first day of the week and I’m feeling good. Last week, I wasn’t feeling good Monday-Wednesday. How was I feeling? Irritated + Aggy to no one and everyone for no reason, to be honest. So, I’ve accepted that my emotions will ebb and flow until we come out of the shelter in place mandates. I’m struggling with 2 extremes: GRIND- create your fitness content, set up virtual spaces so people can come together VS. CHILL- there’s a lot of change right now and you need to be patient and gentle with yourself. I’m trying to find that happy medium between the two. I’m understanding more and more of what I need.
I need to get outside every single day regardless of the weather, I need to check in on my friends and family, but also turn off my phone enjoy solo activities, I like to read how other people are handling this time, I need to try a new dish or 2 a week, I’d like to support a small business when I can and lastly, I need to practice gratitude and spending time with God. If I don’t do these things (especially getting out every day), my bad mood will be knocking at me door.
I’m interested to know what your days are looking like and how does balance look for you in this time? Lastly, take a minute and think about what you are grateful each day and how you’ve received or given compassion.
Let’s talk!
